Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with BuildPCB. If you're not, you can ask for a refund of your unused credits within 14 days of paying.
Credits are consumable: used credits are not refundable
BuildPCB credits are consumable. The engine runs on AI models from a third-party AI provider, and every credit you use pays for AI processing that this provider charges us for at the moment it happens. Once credits have been used, that cost has already been paid and we cannot cancel or recover it. For this reason, credits that have already been used are not refunded, even within the 14-day window.
14-day refund window for unused credits
- Within 14 days of the payment date you can ask for a refund of the credits from that payment that you have not used yet. If you haven't used any of them, the refund is the full amount. This applies to credit packs, custom amounts and subscription payments (the first payment and each monthly renewal).
- If you have used part of the credits, we refund the unused part proportionally. Example: a $59 payment added 75,000 credits and 30,000 have been used → we refund the 45,000 unused credits, that is $35.40.
- After 14 days a payment can no longer be refunded, except where the law of your country gives you a right to a refund.
- When a payment is refunded, the refunded credits are removed from your account.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, they can take 5–10 business days to appear.
- If credits were used up because of a technical fault on our side (for example, the engine stopped because of an error of ours), write to us: we review each case and can return those credits to your balance.
Customers in the EU and the UK
For digital content you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Credits are added to your account the moment you pay: by buying them, you ask us to make them available immediately and you accept that you lose the right of withdrawal for the credits you use. Credits you have not used can still be refunded within 14 days, as explained above.
How to request a refund
Email us at contact@buildpcb.tech with your order number. We refund to the original payment method through our payment provider, Revolut, usually within a few business days of your request.
Refunds are not issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse or other manipulative behaviour.
Subscriptions
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from Account. It stays active until the end of the current billing period and will not renew.
- If you cancel within 14 days of a payment, you can also request a refund of the unused credits of that payment, as described above. Credits you have already used are not refunded.
AI-generated designs
Designs on BuildPCB are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing every design before use. We are not responsible for the boards you design, order or manufacture, or for any cost, loss or damage arising from them. See our Terms of Service for full details.
