Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of BuildPCB (the "Service"), an online, AI-assisted printed-circuit-board (PCB) design tool operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [COMPANY FORM] ("we", "us"), registered in Spain with tax ID [VAT / CIF], address [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What BuildPCB is

BuildPCB turns a plain-language description into a complete PCB design — schematic, component placement, copper routing, rule checks and manufacturing files. The Service is a computer-aided electronics design tool.

Designs are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions or unsafe choices. The engine's automated checks reduce mistakes but do not guarantee a correct, safe or manufacturable board. You must have every design reviewed by a qualified electronics professional and/or by your PCB manufacturer before ordering or using it. A pre-manufacturing review is strongly recommended for every board. You use any design at your own risk.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country.
• Keep your password secure. You may sign in with email and password or with Google.

3. Credits and payments

• The Service runs on credits. Credits are consumed only while the engine performs design work for you (choosing parts, wiring, placing, routing, checking, generating files).
• You may buy credit packs, a custom amount, or a monthly subscription. Prices are shown in US dollars and may change; changes never affect credits you already hold.
• Purchased credits do not expire. The free signup credits are for evaluation.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
• All purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits pay for AI compute that is supplied immediately; by buying and using credits you request immediate performance of the service and waive any statutory right of withdrawal for the credits you consume. Consumed credits are money already spent and are never returned.

4. Refunds

BuildPCB does not offer refunds. Credit packs, custom amounts and subscription payments are final. Credits already spent on design work can never be refunded, because the compute cost has been incurred. See the full Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to design hardware that is unlawful in your jurisdiction, to infringe others' intellectual property, to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or to resell access without our written permission.

6. Your designs and our disclaimer

You own the designs you create and the output files you download. You are solely responsible for the boards you design, order and manufacture using the Service. Because designs are produced by AI and may contain errors, you must verify that a design is correct, safe, functional and legally compliant — through professional and/or manufacturer review — before manufacturing or use.

The Service and all generated designs are provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We accept no responsibility or liability for any board designed, ordered or built with the Service, nor for any cost, loss, injury or damage arising from it, including manufacturing costs and defective or non-functional boards.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Because each design runs on a shared engine, one design is processed at a time and you may occasionally need to wait. We may perform maintenance that briefly interrupts the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the cost of manufacturing a design.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms. On closure, unused purchased credits may be refunded at our discretion where required by law.

10. Changes and contact
